I get an error in the log files of dvdecrypter that says this

Drive C:\(FAT32) does not support files > 4GB
Drive D:\(FAT32) does not support files > 4GB

What can I do to fix this?

    Thanks

You should format always use ntsc when formating you hard drives, what operating system are you using. I would recomend win2k pro, or xp pro(in that order) for ripping dvd's. FAT32 file systems just cannot handle files(as I assume you now know) over 4GB, also, FAT32 can require running scan disk after an unexpected reboot, whereas NTFS(the best file system with a maximum individual file size of well over 4GB) does not, I would recomend either reinstalling windows and fomating the harddrives with ntfs( or just fomat one drive to ntfs and rip off of that) if you don't have win2k or xp or(i think) me, then you should probably upgrade. Good luck.

    wassup..
if your ripping the dvd in Mode > File
you shouldn't have any problems, like msb5150 said, FAT32 has issues with files over 4GB in size, the only time you'd come across this problem would be if your either Streaming a video stream as one file or if your making a dvd image file (it will be over 4GBs in size)

Ok, thanks for the input, I am running ME. My dvd that I am testing with is only 2.5GB but when I rip in ISO mode it says the size is 4.7GB. I am assuming that decrypter is using the entire disc to write a file from, thus making it over my 4GB limit.

First, is this true? When it writes a disc image in ISO mode, is the image always going to be the size of the disc? Can I change that?

Second, If I rip in file mode, will I then need a seperate program to burn the file to dvd? Right now I am using EasyCDCreator 5 to burn cd's, will this work for DVD's? It had a DVD data disc selection.

Third, assuming I get the above to work, will I run into problems with file sizes eventually?

I am currently looking into either upgrading to XP or reformating into NTFS.

Any input would help...thanks so very much again...
