Any suggestions on how i get my dvdx copy software to recognize my dvd burner on the drive selector? its been working before, but recently had to restore my computer for other reasons, but now it's as if windows doesnt recognize the dvd recorder even though I can play dvds and dvd-roms. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Can you burn just data cds/dvds? Have you tried re-installing XCopy?

I have been able to burn both. I downloaded Shrink and that worked good(except I didnt get any audio) and cds burn good too. I've reinstalled it multiple times. I'm frustrated because it was working great until I had to restore my computer.

By "not recognizing" do you mean that you put in a blank DVD to burn and DVDXcopy will not respond ? If so, and id you have another burner (CD) in your system, disable it in device manager..then try it. I had a similar problem recently and found that if I do my burns using Roxio (better than XCopy) I no longer need to disable my CD burner. The IDE "master" "slave" configuration seem to have nothing to do with it.

    n42n,

You said you are able to burn both... So windows can recognize your dvd recorder. Right??

Did you uncheck any audio settings??

Also, what version of XCopy are you using?
