Driver / firnware problem

    Memorex DVD+/-RW true 8X Dual format

    I have had over 200 sucessful burns. About a week ago the drive started acting up. It would hang on playing and burning. Or would not work at all. What ever program I used made no difference ie Nero, shrink, power DVD, WMP, or even explore. I did a firmware upgrade and it fixed the problem then next day it did it again. So this time I deleted the driver and reboot. Fixed. Now it does it about twice a day and I have to delete the driver and reboot.

    Ant Ideas?

    I have also scaned with Adaware, Sptbot, Pest PAtrol, MS spyware, McAfee and defraged.
