   I used my DRU-530A to create a backup of a dvd movie--using dvdxcopy platinum--it plays on the computer but I cant get it to play on my toshiba home dvd player. I used sony dvd+r at 4x. Any suggestions why it wouldn't work on my home dvd player?

   I would say compatibility. Maybe your standalone can't play burned movies. You can check your player here http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
   
   Also what version of Platinum are you using?
