I have a DRU-700A with the latest firmware (VY08) that burns CDs fine, but stopped burning DVDs. It's done this before, and then it started burning a DVDs fine once more, and now it doesn't work again. I am using Nero 7 and I don't have Roxio installed. Sony DVD-R media at the moment, but nothing else really works so I know it's not the media. I actually watched the burn progress today and noticed it didn't get passed an IFO file, which was one of the really small ones. It took a couple of minutes just on that file and stopped burning. What can I do?

Have you tried reducing your burn speed on DVDs to 4x?

    - that's not going to help, you have a Gig of total memory and none of left so your hard drive will be thrashing ie Windows will be using virtual RAM ie from the hard drive and that's not going to do any burns any good. You need to close down whatever the hell's using up all your RAM, before you start burning each time
