I have a ds lite with M3 Real Sakura firmware. today i was playing sims 2 and the camera jus started rotaing as if you were holding down the L or R button and now it wont stop. It happened just like that out of the blue during gameplay, did drop or anything. It started as a on off kind of thing but not it happened all the time. I figured out that its was the L button that was malfuctioning, as if it was being held down. For example in Call of Duty 4 the guns will shoot by its self. Not sure why it happened just like that. The button isnt jammed, still makes the clicking noise when i press it so im starting to think it may be a circuit issue but im hoping not because I dont have warranty and dont no where i can get it fixed. I also tried blowing into it as I read that could work but no luck. the button will sometimes stop WHEN I press it for like a second then continue to act like its being held down. Any help will be much appreciated.

The left and right buttons are actual switch units soldered on to the circuit board. The solution would be to open the DS (using a tri wing screwdriver), desolder and remove the offending switch, you can then test the unit to ensure it then functions correctly (apart from the missing switch). If it is the switch then phone DS repairers and see if they will send you just the switch from a broken circuit board for a couple of £.
