My son has a DS Lite that he dropped. Part of the plastic over one of the hinges broke off, but the top screen is still attached solid, it swings but doesn't have the ratchet effect anymore... not a big deal. Anyway, everything else looks to be perfect, but now it won't power on at all. No green light, no flash of the screens... nothing. If I plug the charger in the orange light comes on for about one second then off again. I've tried another battery, but of course that did nothing. Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks!
You could try checking the fuse F2 is near the DS game slot It is surface mount but it is labeled so you can find it, if it has gone then you can buy replacements (but they are very small. Other than that it is time for a new DS or motherboard.
