Ok well i was going to get the DS-Xtreme 4Gb thinking that it had 4GB of internal memory but then realized that it only has 512MB memory. So then i decided to wait for M3 Simply DS and just get a 2GB Micro SD card if i can find one. When can you get the M3 Simply DS? Can it play NDS, GB, GBC, GBA, Homebrew Apps? Also where is the best place to get ROMS?
According to MaxConsole, they say that the M3 Simply DS will be on a release for next week. I read there and didn't see anything about playing ROMS, but I would be surprised if M3 didn't include that option. You can just go to Google, and search for it. You can also go to an IRC channel.
The M3 Simply DS will be able to play NDS Games and some NDS homebrew (will increase as developers update their code). GBA is no supported which is the samewith all SLot-1 devices. Gameboy and Gameboy Colour relies on NDS mode emulators (as GBA mode isn't available)
Ok well thx. Well i was going to look for a @GB Micro SD card if i can find one. But how big is the average NDS game? What do i need so i can download the games off the NDS cartridges that i have? Also where is the best place to get NDS Games?
Bump... Well What do i need to dump NDS games to my PC and what are some good sites to get NDS dumps?
If you want to run homebrew software, run roms and play movies on your ds I would recommend the M3 adapter (for the GBA slot) and the Passcard3(for the DS slot) together these allow you to do all the above. All the software comes with the adapter. As for sites gameyeeeah.com and I've heard divineo.net is right. Readme peace D
There is a program for the M3 range called dumper.nds which allows you to dump clean roms onto your M3 from the DS slot, obviously this won't work on the M3 DS, plus it crashes quite alot on the SD versions of the M3 - works perfectly on the M3CF though. As for websites, there is www.dgemu.com, but that uses a point system. Or theres Bittorrent. Yes, it will probably come with the GBAMP/M3 video player and music player (uses GBM&GBS formats) though it is quite poor quality, even with the M3 teams crystal encoding system. The more recent firmwares of the M3 have had Moonshell built in, Moonshell allows for playback of .dpg movies and MP3 files, chances are it will also be included with the M3 DS and if it isn't the developer will have it available for download shortly after the release of the M3 DS. EDIT: looks like theDread posted a message while I was typing thanks for linking to my guide
Well im just going to go with the M3 Simply DS when it comes out and get a 2GB Micro SD card. But can the M3 DS play homebrew Apps?. (all i really care about is playing NDS Games and homebrew) I have an Onyx DS Lite what do you guys recomend?
Sorry for the dubble post. But i tryed dgemu and i hated that stupid point system but there are no other sites? i dont really want to use Emule/Bittorrent?
will useing the Simply DS void my warrinty? dose it flash my DS's firmware or require anything like that?
Nope, it's just plug and play As far as the DS is concerned it's just another DS game, unplug the M3 and no-one will know it's ever been there.
