DS screens won't turn on. DS chagres but nothing.

I've recently bought a new pink ds as a Xmas gift. My little sister calls me yesterday tells me screens don't turn on. I go over take a look at it and it wont turn on even while charging. I shake it and its makes a rattling noise I think something came lose. Problem is I ca return it to gamestop without a receipt. Does the ds have a warranty or aything or am I screwed?

there is a warranty, but its very vague to me. go online and check it out or call them for referring to your questions

 

The DS may be broken or there may be bad batteries in it. Other than that I don't know.
