Ive heard a lot about that virus that bricks the ds, they say you shold be carefull of what apps and stuff you put to your R4 or flashcart, my question is, is there a program on the net which will test files that i download for my ds for this virus, i dont wanna bricked ds
I'm gonna edit this so it is clearer I have no idea what I am talking about and am asking a clueless question: I think if I understand things correctly that the DS has firmware and a "system". You can use the Flashme thing and this has the benefit of overwriting part of the DS firmware to allow the use of homebrew direct from the GBA slot or something else good. Not sure. This appears to be a one time set up to "switch over." Would it be worth it/prudent/smart to go through the installation/set up for the Flashme deal so that you are running on that version of the firmware for your DS. Then if you get bricked from one of these virii, you could boot from the Flashme and unbrick, correct? If you didn't do any set up and "switch over" and then got infected could you still unbrick, or is it only recoverable if you have done the flashme setup?
