hi, i finally managed to connect my ds games to my pouter and play online, i done this by changing my configuration on the netgear website to wep instead of using the wpa, problem is i cannot connect my laptop to the router when in this wep mode, so i am forever having to switch security types to go on my laptop and then go on my ds, does anyone know how i could keep my laptop connected aswell as the ds, i realise this is a pc question but as its related does anyone know of a solution, im sure someone knows regards
You should be able to just change your laptop's encryption to WEP and then put in the appropriate key. It won't necessarily be instantanious but once it's found the network again that should be it.
Juni is correct. The DS only knows WEP as you have discovered. The laptop should be able to do both WEP and WPA. It's just a set up issue. The other option to consider is the Nintendo wi-fi dongle for the DS. That would allow you to run your network at the WPA security level but still access it with the DS via the dongle.
