    Hi

I recently bought a Japanese DSi and noticed that whenever you press on the touchscreen you will get a liquid-ish effect in the middle part of the screen. Imagine you touch the screen of a laptop and you will not what I mean. I don't remeber the DS Lite having this "defect". Anyone else who noticed it? Just to make sure it wasn't just on my DSi I also checked on my girlfriend's and it had the same problem. Usually it's not very easy to spot it, but if you go to the screen calibration screen (dark background) you should see it clearly.

    Any thoughts?

I have the exact same problem. When I got my first DSi there was a dead pixel on the top screen, so I traded it in for another one. Now this one has that warpy screen. Should I exchange it for another one again? I don't want to seem nit picky, but it's pretty expensive.

Was this a US or Japanese system?

Same problem but on both sides of the screen toward the center. US version black. A friend with a US Blue doesn't have the issue an a friend with a US Black has the problem but way less severe than mine. I'm taking mine back....

Mine was blue us version. I brought it back to gamestop and got it exchanged for a new one. This one's pretty much perfect.
