    I have a 4 port DSL router.
Should I buy a 6-8 port router? Can I add ports another way to a 4 port? Should I use an ethernet adaptor?
Any suggestions for the best connection or price?

You can add ports by connecting it either using one port on each router, or if it has a seperate connection port on top of the 4. Why u need so many ports?

    1. Get the cheapest router you can find (10/100 presumably) and since you already have one, you dont need to worry about this
    2. Get the cheapest 10/100 Ethernet Switch you can/ (for something like a 4 port switch, it should be in the range of $10USD)
    3. Take a standard RJ45 (Cat5) cable and connect the switch to any of the ports of the router (except for the one marked WAN). Now your "router" has more ports.
    4. He could have a whole bunch of computers lol (I know i started off with a 4 port router in residence and recently i had to add another 4 ports to it because of computers i had acquired) :p
