I have used the R4DS in the past and decided to get a DSTT for myself and a few as Christmas gifts. My situation:
The DSTT will work great for a while but will eventually freeze when loading a game. The menu still comes up and works fine but freezes when loading any game.
    I have:
    Genuine NDSTT
    Kingston 8gb Microsdhc Class 4
    Newest firmware
I am doing a full format(fat32) and not just a quick format on memory cards. Have duplicated this problem on more than one ds with different ndstt carts. One interesting issue is if I delete the saves from the card and put the mem card back in DSTT everything will work fine for a while and eventually start freezing again when loading games. I'm wondering if it's some type of corrupted save issue. I haven't seen it anywhere but is it advised to use a class 6 Microsdhc card? Is a class 4 good enough? Any help and advice will greatly be appreciated!

the only thing i can think of is do you have the latest firmware for your dstt on your memory card , DSTT (TopToy DS) Latest: v1.16 from here - http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/

    or here - http://www.ndstt.com/download.html

to be honest i use a class 6 memory card with all my sdhc flashcarts ( edge ds , m3ds real , itouch ds ) but a class 4 should be ok .

could be your class 4 memory though playing up .

I found the solution and I hope you can pass this on to everyone! I found a video on youtube from some goofy kid but one small bit of info I took from the video solved my problems and will probably solve those with similar problems. When formatting your card make sure you select default allocation size! That was it, simple as that. Don't know what it does but I do know that it works.
