I just got done downloading some DTS encoded .wav files. I am wondering if renaming the file extension from .wav to .dts will work without any problems.....Or is there more to it than that?
More to it, my friend. These need to be played back through a DTS decoder, and can be played in Foobar 2000 with the DTS plugin as they are, or with the DTS-HD StreamPlayer too. You can also burn to an ordinary CD-Audio (the file is set up to look like a 16/44.1 stereo WAV file but is in fact a DTS multiplex) and output on any DVD player sending digitally to a suitable decoder, or decoding in the player.
