I ripped my movie to the hard drive with Decrypter. Got my mds and iso files okay. Double-clicked on the mds file, Decrypter started automatically and I selected burn and verify afterwards. It seemed to work, but won't play. When I checked the Decrypter log, I see: BENQ DVD DD DW1625 BBIA (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Incomplete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Free Sectors: 187,200 Free Space: 383,385,600 bytes Free Time: 41:38:00 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x DVD+R DL Boundary Information: L0 Data Zone Capacity: 2,086,912 Changeable: No Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,520 Layer Information: Layer 0 Sectors: 2,086,913 (2.087E8%) Layer 1 Sectors: 4,292,880,384 (-2.087E8%) I'm using Verbatim DVD+R Dual Layer disc. I guess there's no salvaging this disc. Should I try ImgBurn to burn the mds file?
Does the disc playback in the pc? Some dvd players can be quite picky with dual layer media. You best bet is booktype this disc to dvd-rom. Both Decrypter & ImgBurn will booktype w/ BenQ. Use ImgBurn too since it's the update burning part of Decrypter.
