I am buying an XBOX console very soon and i have found a guy in my local area who will install me a Duo X2 mod chip with a lifetime service warranty. I am also planning on upgrading to a bigger harddrive as the stock-standard XBOX HDD is insufficient for my needs. This nice guy will install the HDD in for me at no extra charge. My question - There are so many different types or interfaces of harddrives, i don't know which one to get. Is there something specific i should be looking out for in a suitable XBOX harddrive? Some of the different types(which makes it very confusing about the right one to buy) are : DMA/ATA, IDE, SCSI, Serial ATA. I vaugely know what each one is but i don't know which is the CORRECT ONE THAT THE XBOX USES!!! Please help me, thank you.
As long as you get an IDE ATA hard drive, you should be fine. You may want to check if it can locked as well, or else you won't be able to boot your Xbox without the chip enabled.
venom is right also a good idea to ask what bios the guy uses to flash the chip personally Id go with the xecuter 2.6
its a good idea to get a locking tool on the menu/apps of the xbox you can lock/unlock real easy using an app like configmagic dont bother locking the drive if you dont use live, its pointless
