DV CAMCORDER help

    anyone in here know how to work a dv camcorder well? im having problems with mine and my computer dosn't seem to be uploading the footage. it works once for like 35 seconds and then stops working and dosn't work again any help?

    ive tried all the stuff like updating my driver and reinstalling it etc but none of that seems to work
    I have a JVC GR-D33U if that helps at all?

    Well, I guess there are many over here who know how to work with DV camcorders.
    Updating drivers, reinstalling? None of that is at all necessary if you work with a Firewire connection. Do you?

    How were you "uploading" the video file, were you using some sort of proprietry sofware from JVC?

    What format are the files that are on the DV Cam?

    What media is the Dv Cam, Tape, DVD?

    I'm uploading it from windows movie maker, I have no clue of the format sorry. I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff it worked on my old computer but dosn't on my new one.

    Please Adam, try to educate yourself a little bit and read what others write in this forum. I can't imagine that you don't know if your camcorder is a model with tape or one that records directly on a DVD..... (no offense)

    Its a mini dv cam
