Hopefully this will be able to be answered by someone... I have ripped the first CD (volume one) of the first season of Sex and the City to me hard drive. I used IFOEdit to strip subtitles, languages, etc. I am not left with VOB files that only contain the six episodes from the DVD. Is there anyway to remove three episodes from the resultant VOBs, add a menu with DVDMaestro and burn to DVD so I do not lose any quality of the original DVD?? Hopefully someone can answer this!
hello there would it be possible for you to post the directory listing (including file size please!)? most series dvds have the same sort of file structure - that is, each episode is a different VOB file. so all you necessarily have to do is just not include them on the dvd you're going to burn. you can work out which vob file corresponds to which episode of the series by using DVD2AVI. give us the file structure of the dvd and i can help you more!! thanks
Ok....after some serious playing around I have the VOB's remaining that just contain the first 3 episodes.... VIDEO_TS.BUP VIDEO_TS.IFO VTS_01_0.BUP VTS_01_0.IFO VTS_01_1.VOB VTS_01_2.VOB VTS_01_3.VOB VTS_01_4.VOB (All of which...including .bmp for menu and overlay screen are only about 3.3gb) I played them in IFOEdit and they appear to be working. I guess my next step would be to demux them into the .m2v and .a3c files in order to bring them into DVDMaestro. I dont think I have to run them through TMpge because I do not have to shrink them, right? Or can you run them through and maintain the quality. Waiting for some help....
