I am trying to take audio files from DVD's and burn them into MP3's on my G5 iMAC. I can do this fine on my PC with other software programs, however I can not do this on my MAC. I have downloaded MTR but can not get the audio files from the downloaded chapters. Can someone help me and tell me what to do to take audio files from DVD's and rip them into MP3's? Thanks.
you can use audio hijack.. play the dvd and it will record it. you can then use garageband to cut it up http://www.ripdifferent.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1249&highlight=dvd+mp3
Thanks for the link... However when I try to download mAC3dec it asks what application to use to open the file... Any suggestions?
Ok, never mind that last question.... I downloaded mAC3dec but now it just sits there... i tried dragging the audio file to be converted over but that didn't work... What do i do to get mAC3dec to work?
why did you download that? audio hijack will format it to aiff.. which should be able to be read by itunes.. converted to mp3.. and you can import that into garageband
Ok, i downloaded audio hijack... Did that, now how do i import the songs into garage band and split up the tracks?
