Hi simai, Most (if not all) autoring tools build the DVD without re-encoding the MPEG files. Besides, most tools accept only DVD-video compliant MPEG files, just because they don't re-encode them. NVE (NeroVision Express) accepts almost any type of video files. The doc claims that only non DVD-video compliant files are (re)encoded, but I saw my NVE re-encoding MPEG files that were definitely DVD-video compliant.
