I'm using DVD Xcopy 1.3 and a Memorex 4X DVD burner. I've tried Memorex 4X DVD-R, Fuji 4X DVD-R, and Memorex DVD+R media, with no success. All I get is an error message saying it won't play this kind of disk. Yet all these discs will play in my Sony DVD player. Do I need to upgade the firmware on my Panasonic or something?
hoobyfu, I think it may be your media. The discs you've mentioned are barely fair at best (Fuji) - Memorex is made by different Mfgs. - and in the past 6 months or so the quality is inconstant - as high a figure as 1/2 of media made is bad :-( (that would mean that should you purchase a 100 pack, as much as 1/2 of them woulf turn out as coasters :-(( I recommend Ritek G04 or Verbatim or any media advertising themselves as advance Metal AZO dye should be acceptable (although the AZO is pricy) Welcome to the Club and Good luck ) Pete
All of the discs I made work flawlessly in my Sony DVD player though. Maybe I'll have better luck with Shrink and Decrypter.
