    *moved from DVD Ripping*

For just burning ... CopyToDVD is one of the best (IMO).

    eh?

Recode 2 comes with the full version of Nero. If you have Nero, then you have Recode.

Recode 2 is very similar to using DVD Shrink, and Mr. Shrink works for Nero now.

Other dvd backup programs I have and use is Elby's CloneDVD2 & DVD Rebuilder w/ CCE Basic.

I use DVD Decrypter and/or AnyDVD to disable copy protections.

Have you even tried Recode 2? better yet have you tried DVD Shrink?

basic steps ... both Shrink and Recode are very similar.

I always rip with DVD Decrpter first, then

    DVD Shrink ...

    1) Open DVD Shrink
    2) Open files, then click Backup!
    3) Choose Video_TS file to HD for target destination
    4) burn the video_ts file with CopyToDVD (or you can use Nero)

    Recode 2 ...

    1) Open Recode
    2) Choose Entire DVD to DVD
    3) Import DVD (browse and open up ripped Video_TS file)
    4) Destination is set to Hard Disk Folder
    5) burn the video_ts file with CopyToDVD (or you can use Nero)

In Shrink I only use "Perform deep analysis" I don't use Quality enhancements.

In Recode I use Advanced analysis and High quality mode.

Yes, I have both DVD Shrink and Nero Recode 2. I bought the full version through downloads. I didn't get the guide or anything so I don't even know how to use half of the thing in Nero. And that's why I'm asking you,flip218. Yes I did, I went to their site to download the guides but for some reasons, I can't get access to it afterward. I mean I can't open the files, it won't load. I tried clicking it like a hundred time before quitting and delete it out into the recycle bin. So I just don't know what to do with the software.

    1) Open Recode and choose Recode an entire DVD to DVD.

    2) I change the output size to 4400. Then choose Import DVD.

    3) Browse for you Video_TS files and click ok.

    4) Remove any unwanted audio or subtitles. For this movie House of Flying Daggers I would actually keep the 5.1 Chinese audio and the English subtitles. For most movies I keep 5.1 English and English subtitles.

    5) For the destination choose Hard Disk Folder and see where the target destination is (ie. the target folder). Check both Advanced analysis and High quality mode. Click Burn

    6) Once it's done you will have a Video_TS folder. Choose your burning program of choice an burn it

Thanks flip218.That make things alot clearer. Mods are alway mods. Smart. Before I came here, I thought I was smart but I was wrong. People are hundreds of times smarter than me. Not everyone(Jane1) ;-). If I were you, I would probaly give directions instead of words&pics. I can't even post something half as good as that. The pics quality is very good. Anyway, thanks, you went through all that just to help someone with a very small question. I just want you to know I appreciated. Once again, thanks.
