Hi Every1; Im back, its been a while, but Im back so here I am to bug you some more. I was wondering if any of the linux Distros out there support DVD Burners? I want to be able to burn any content on my XboX to a DVD without having to FTP into it. Im going to possibly get a Xbox X-Tender Case, or just make my own and add a DVD+R into it, Seeing as how I installed a 300 Gig Drive in my box last night, I figured a Burner was the next step. Just to clarify this I DO NOT want to replace my XboX dvd drive I just want to add another one! Phil
I'm not totally possitive but I don't think it's possible. First off your Xbox won't have the drivers to run a DVD burner. But that's just my thought. I could be wrong but whatever. I hope you find the right answer!
Its not up to the xbox, its just a modified PC so Linux should run it. The computer itself doesnt matter its all up to the operating system like on a regualr PC. Linux Win NT Win 98 & ME Will all burn dvds but win 95 wont theres not much difference. MS-Dos does not, but IBM PC-Dos will Its all int he OS So Linux should do it. It just depends if the Linux Distor has the drivers to burn dvds PLowran
I'm pretty sure that the Xbox hardware isn't capable of running a DVD burner. You'd probably get a better answer if you try asking janrocks.
