It seems the pioneer 106 is the one to buy. As a novice, i would be abliged for an instalation run thru.
Instaling is the easy part lol. Heres what you do: 1. Take out any other IDE device on secondary Master. 2. Set the Pioneers Jumper to Master. 3. Install the drive into your PC on the Second IDE cable with the first plug going to the Pioneer. Plug any other device E.g. DVD Rom on the second plug on the IDE cable (Make sure the jumper is set as slave). 4. Connect the molex power connectors. 5. Secure the drive into your PC and then power up. 6. Install any drivers Windows asks for. 7. You can now use the drive! Easy
