alright Im not sure if this is the right forum for this so my bad if this is the wrong one Alright I just bought a Hp DVD640 and I burned around 10 DVD's with no prob but now I am getting error messages like crazy mainly talking about "Bad Media" and after emailing HP about this and getting a complete bullshit answer basically saying they cant do anything about this problem I have decided to talk to you guys about it My first questions is for those people out there that also have the HP dvd640. Are you guys getting errors messages like this? If not what media are you using. My other question is if any body can tell me what the best DVD burner on the market is right now. And what the best media is (right now i am using verbatium DVD+R 16x)
Best on the market at the moment (IMO) is the Pioneer 109 http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6463.cfm Also there has been alot of bad media around, it could just be you have a bad batch.
thanks man ill look into the Pioneer A09/109 does any body else have any suggestions or does everyone agree with the Pioneer A09/109
alright i just found the Pioneer A09 but it is internal two questions: 1) is the 109 external and if so do you know where to get it b/c i cant find it anywhere 2) even though it is internal can i still use it on my laptop w/o making it "internal" if that makes sense
Try a firmware upgrade first to try to get the drive to be more compatible with media... And like Taz said there is alot of bad media out there thats y u dont buy the cheapest spindle u can find
looked for a firmware update...bought the most expensive one not the cheapest cause i konw there is a lot of bad media out there
