DVD Burning Problems

    I have a HP dvd writer 200i and everytime I try to burn a dvd it goes like its going to for a minute then just stops. It started not burning cd's, but it still burnt dvd's, not itll read dvd's but it wont read blanks and burn them. Any tips? Thanks

    Also, my red light on the drive always comes on..but under device manager it says everything is working properly and I just cleaned the laser.

    @yourhero

    What software are u using to burn DVD's it may not b ur drive havin the issue. It mayb the software...

    Also can u post the error log... if there is any???

    I've tried using Nero, Sony DVD Architect, TMPGENC DVD Author, and Sonic MyDVD (some program that came with my pc.)
