Im looking for a cheap perferably free ap that will allow me to rip single chapters or episodes from my dvds. So i can have nice short episodes to move over to my MP4 player to watch. Ive been looking far and wide this morning for something that will meet my needs and the only thing ive come up with so far is dvd to mp4 converter 4.0.62 build 1208b. the trial version only rips 5 mins but appears to be doing exactly what im looking for. If anyone is familar with this software and can confirm that it works well, great or some other free alternative would be awesome! thanks in advance
DVD Decrypter. It is the best ripper and can do exactly what you want. Go into IFO Mode and you can rip chapter by chapter, PGC by PGC, Cell by Cell, whatever you want. To encode into mp4, I recommend x264. Another method is to use DVD Shrink in Reauthor mode. You can clip what you do not want, so you can rip chapter by chapter or just portions of a chapter. Also, VobBlanker can edit and cut.
