    hi uronagain,

I noticed you have multiposted this question a few different times. Please take time to read the forum rules as there is multiposting allowed. Also try to stick to posting once as you will only have to deal with the answers in 1 thread not several. What you will end up with is several comments and you might end up confusing yourself as everyone has personal favorites. I suggest you try dvd decrypter or dvd shrink. There is a new dvd fab decrypter on the freeware market and works along the same lines, but you need dvd shrink to use on the file after you've ripped it with dvd fab decrypter (remember to check the software section for the one marked as freeware). I'm not a mod or addict just passing some info along to keep you in good standing with the folks as they tend to frown on similiar posts.

dvd decrypter will copy the movie as exactly you have compressed it. Keep in mind that when using dvd shrink depending on the amount you might lose some of the picture clarity. Unless you are shrinking more than 60-65% you should notice little to no quality loss. The rule to remember is the more compression the more you will lose picture quality. If you do a search on AD you will find many threads regarding dvd shrink and dvd decrypter.

    uronagain,

dvd clone2 is not free. DVD decrypter and dvd shrink are free. There are ton of folks here who have had great success with both free programs and there are many excellent guides here on the site which once again is free. The choice is yours.
