Hy I have made two copies of DVD Movies with DVD Cloner II. I have watch the first DVD. At it stops at 44min in my DVD Player?? Ok i think bad quality DVD-R. I watch the second Movie I have Copied with DVD Cloner II. And the result: It stops at 44 min in my DVD Player. ??? I cant understand this. I have tryed this two dvd-r in three differnt DVD Players. Always the same. So its the programm that makes shit here. Know someone this Problem. I want to copy all of the Movie. Not only 44 Minutes.
Hi Jackass!!, welcome to aD, Ok so you think the first media might have been bad, what was it ? i assume you changed media for the second backup, what media did you use on that one ? BTW, Happy New Year - Pete
But the second DVD-r have the same problem. The second Movie stops at 44min. I have made copies with this medianca DVD-Rs with an older Platinum DVX Copy with no Problems. But with DVD Cloner 2 i have tryed yesterday i have this 44 Minutes Problem. I think the problem is not the DVD-Rs.
According to my research, medianca DVD-Rs, is made by Prodisc using an "Unknown Dye" type and appliacation, a sign of an inferior DVD disc quality not suited for DVD Video backup work. That was the first disc you used, you said you tried another media, again I ask, What was the second media ? I am going to caution you here, if you don't want my help, be adult enough to say so and wait for someone else. Not only do you disrespect me and indicate that the time I spent answering your question is worthless to you BUT you break our forum rules by Double-posting. Do not do it again.
These Medianca DVDs works good with DVXCOPY. But with DVD Cloner the copied Movies are stopping at 44 Minutes. I have copied the same film once with DVDXCOPY and with DVD Cloner II. With DVDx Copy everythings alright, with dvd Cloner the 44min Problem. The Medianca DVDs are not the problem.
Good Lord man, you should buy hardware then the software NOT buy the hardware to suit someone's software - That's what DVD XCopy was about - Really, any 2.0 USB burner will work BUT if you haven't bought Cloner yet I caution you - do some reading. There are much, much better programs than Cloner. Ones that make a higher quality backup and some of them are FREE. If you are going to buy Cloner be informed that it cannot rip the newer DVD's released. You'll have to buy something like AnyDVD just to use Cloner (another $40.00(USD). Scary isn't it. You're going to buy a program that won't work unless you buy something else - It's your money, you should spend it wisely. Checkout the guides in my sig, the programs are FREE and they do a better job and are easy to boot. The guides walk you through the setup move by move. Cheers, Pete UPDATE: The reason ClonerII is so poor is thatit uses DVD Shrink BUT it uses an older version - Spending $$$ for an "OLD" and FREE Proggy - What a Scam . . . .
Good grief, I just noticed that this thread started with a complaint about cloner and you were thinking about buying it - WOW ! For all others out there, if you bought it, try for a refund - these pple (DVDClonerII) aren't doing too well otherwise, Consider buying the original CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. That at least is a quality program. Other proggys to consider, DVDCopy3 DVD2One DVD Shrink (FREE) Nero's Recode2 Cheers and . . . watch your $$$$ Pete
I asked about hardware, and I get a software critic. I have many things to say to your response, but I don't have time to argue.
[bold]smrtazz[/bold] Actually ScubaPete did answer your question: But he also added his well respected opinion on other software that is considered better and best of all, they are free. The link below is to the main website of DVD ClonerII if you want to research it more. (http://www.dvd-cloner.com/)
I give'em their answer and some friendly advise and they want neither - With their intelligence how did they make the gene pool cut ?
Actually he did not answer my question, as not every dvd burner will work with the software. I have a 2.0 USB burner that will not work because it doesn't have the EIDE/ATAPI interface. I never asked the opinion of anyone about this software, as I have formulated my own from the many months of using it. And what is considered better software sometimes depends on the individual person that is using it.
Ok, we didn't know that - Thank you ! I'll add that to the list of reasons of why pple shouldn't be bothered to waste their $$$$ buying it. As you're finding out, perhaps isn't all that and a bag of chips Even the pple who are paid to tout it have downgraded it - http://quick-review.com/dvd/ Here's what I like the best - from their own Ad - Anyone can tell you a 1:1 copy is an EXACT copy. It isn't possible to have an EXACT copy when you compress it. For those not paying attention, that means for a copy of a 8GB DVD to be a 1:1 - it has to be a 8GB DVD. I guess that if you lie to enough pple, someone naive enough will believe it - Again, Thanks for that addition to the list . . . Pete
Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I tried different versions (v2.20 and v2.32). No difference. I can copy only 44 minutes of the movie on my disk drive. This is not a blank dvd issue. I was not impressed by the stability of the software and find it lacking features. For compression, it is less performant than 1click (no option to disable some audio tracks like DTS...). For 1 to 1 movie (without compression), i find it very good. The nicest feature of DVD Cloner II is is ability to split in 2 dvd-5 disk without loosing anything (great picture clarity!). Regards
