Hello...I gather the site you DN loaded from does not say what it is.??
    donload gspot http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm
and find out what were dealing with. open the video in Gspot and it will tell you all the info of the vid..then tell us what you got and what you want to do with it.

or do you mean file format..like ISO.CCD.Bin/cue..?? not sure what you mean ??

I certainly would not recomend a codec pack to anybody..install the codecs you need...that is what gspot will tell you ..the codec you need..most of the time.Koepis Xvid will handle any popular AVI .. except Matraska

Allot of members on this forum and other people I know install K-Lite codec pack. It is 1 of the best codec packs you can get.

But that is up to you to recommend it or not. I know it works and know that K-Lite is 1 of the best codec packs you can install on your computer.

Doing so can eliminate having to find and download codec after codec when you find a video file that will not play. K-lite will install the most popular codec's that are out today.

my information is from My experiance as well as many others that I know have developeed the same problems with K-light/full/mega/standard..and others..I'm only a junior member on THIS forum..the problem is windows develops AVI video read redundancy..issues, it can not read the AVI file data for a properties profile, and windows crashes, or you cant do anything with the file, you cant even delete it.. the problem is not with everybody that installs a codec pack, but, it happens enough that it is a known problem..if you use a codec pack, then it is strongly advised to run an AVI purge that stops windows from reading AVI.in My profile page is a link to XP tweaks, in there is an AVI purge VBS file you can get...somewhere in that page...God Bless

    Hi there,

Lots of people will say installing Codec Pack will cause issues.

I use K-Like Mega Codec Pack *but* I only install it in "[bold]Playback Only Mode[/bold]" Only.

I do not install all encoders and all the possible bells and whisle.

Personally, I never had an issue with that.

It never conflicted with VSO ConvertXtoDVD and I'm still without issues.

    My 2 cents...
