My friend is a DJ and plays dvd concerts on a widescreen for his gigs. He has a DVD mixer that allows him to fade into the next video.. So it is pretty much like having 2 turntables and fading from one to the other, but his has video. So here is the question: is there a way to record the output onto a pc hdd for future playback? That way he can just hookup the laptop and play it back rather than pulling dvd's all night... I imagine he would need a video card or an i/o card on the pc with a video input and the appropriate sw to copy. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
jpdub, Here's a link to help out with the ripping and burning of movies to a pc hard drive. How you get those to play to a big screen...I've no idea, lastly i doubt that a laptop will have a large enough hdd to carry all movies required so he may have to buy an external hdd for the capacity. http://www.doom9.org/ I use dvdshrink(freeware) and dvdfab decrypter(freeware also) See how you go. Cheers.
