DVD created on Mac plays in Windows but not on Mac!

    this is ridiculous. I used MTR to rip (main feature only), DVD IMager to create the VIDEO_TS image, and disk utility to burn. THe burnt DVD-R plays fine on Windows XP, but refuses to play on the Apple DVD player, and my standalone player hangs at "SEARCH" when this DVD-R is inserted. Removing the .ds_STORE did not make any difference.

    Don't use +R media...

    Use -R and try that...

    From what i read in the Toast help files, the disk should be burnt as a universal disk format (udf) disk - not a standard Mac data one. Maybe that would work.....?
