im using the guide on here, exactly as it is written...first im using the iso read mode...then iso write mode...and no matter what movie i try, it tells me it the movie is too big...one of the movies i tried is "dirty dancing"...its listed on this site as a dvd-5, and should fit on one blank dvd...so what am i doing wrong??
most commercial dvds are dvd-9 which are dual layer discs and have 9.4 gb of data on them. All dvd that you can write to are dvd-5 or single layer and can only write 4.7 gb (or so) of data on them. Therefore you will need to compress most movies with a compressing program. Popular compressing programs are dvd shrink (free) and dvd2one ($30). Dvd shrink also includes a ripper. Most people do not rip with dvd decrypter as the burning program is not very good. Most on this site use nero or recordnow although many others can be used. you can download trial versions of most of them. Burnatonce is free and a link is at dvdshrink.info.
