    Hi,
I have been trying to back up my dvd (less tan 4 GB) into a dvd-r usin DVD Decrypter and DVD Decrypter locks up while burning at 99%. I have tried and wasted several blank DVD-R and they ain't that cheap, you know.
Anyway, do any of you know what this is about and (of course) how to fix this problem?....

I use an externl HP dvd300e DVD Burner USB 2.0 connection. I REPEAT: The back up process into my HD is fine, the problemis while burning it.

    Thanks a lot
    Peace.

Correct me if I am wrong: I decryp it using DVD Decrypter and then use Nero to copy the file I decrypted?.... I am a little confused.
The DVD I am backing up is less than 4.0 GB
    Thanks

What ripster was saying to do is rip the image to your HD using Nero, and burn it also using Nero. Hope this helped!

I tried that and it worked. Thanks!
The DVD I backed up had no copyright protection.

QUESTION: if I have a DVD-d5 with copyright protection, can I use DVD2ONE instead of DVD Decrypter or is DVD2ONE only for d9 movies?.... I think DVD Decrypter sucks.

ANY dvd, whether it is dvd5 or dvd9 AND has copy protection needs to have the encryption removed in order to view the content and back it up.

Dvd2one is just a compression software and cannot 'rip' off the encryption.

Dvd Decrypter is good for ripping the encryption off, also you may want to try Dvd Shrink - you can have alot of fun with this software - and it is free.
It rips/strips/compresses and reauthors, you just need a decent proggy like nero or recordnow to burn it afterwards.

Dvd Shrink is available in the d/l section here or alternatively you can visit http://www.chrismccann.co.uk for it and a cool guide....

    Hope this helps....
