First off, I would like my backup copies to have some if not all extras. Is it better to decrypt everything to the hard drive first (dvd decrypter) then rencode or use something on-the-fly (anydvd)

    cregacho...

one isent better then the other, these programs are both good, but just used in different ways

if you want to decrypt to the hard drive then compress and burn (which is a way of making less coasters) then u go with DVD Decrypter

if you want to copy on-the-fly with anyDVD that is your perogative but copying on-the-fly is quite risky
you have to have a good, clean source disk and same with the media..... also your drive Speeds have to match atleast match each other that way the data can be transferred without messing up..

i know i dident Give u a strict yes or no but thats the thing different people like different things u have to find your own method

i just thought i would give you some information to do with as you see fit
