    I/O Error
    Device :[1:0:0] Sony DVD RW AW-Q170A 1.70 (D:) (ATA)
    Scsi Status: Ox02

Interpretation: logical unit communication CRC error (Ultra - DMA/32)

It seems I am having this problem with newer movies. I was able to burn over the hedge and lucky #7 fine but click, xmen 3 and silent hill give me this error. These disks are brand new and there are no scratches or smudges.

    With Dvd shrink

    It says
Dvd shrink encountered and error and can not continue.
    Failed to read file ["D]
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

    Please help

    Hi liveinOH
Since decrypter and shrink are no longer updated some of the newer copy protections give them a problem - like Click and Silent Hill. I don't think (could be wrong) that Xmen 3 had anything Decrypter couldn't handle.

So tryRipIt4Me - uses decrypter, shrink and FixVTS - all free programs.
The link has links to download the programs and a step by step guide.

Give it a go and let us know!
