Your disc is either dirty, scratched or the protection is something that Decrypter cannot handle.
What's the name of the movie and what VOB is it failing on?

The DVD is Rick Steves:Europe_16 Classic Shows 1995-1999

    It stops at VOB 6.

The disk is clean, no fingerprints/scratches.

Try ripping with something else, like AnyDVD v6.3.1.7...

    http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe

If it fails to rip all the way, it is likely that your disc is dirty, scratched, or a defectively pressed original. More likely though, like dialysis1 said, you are dealing with a copy protection that the venerable but now outdated DVDDecrypter is unable to handle. Try a different ripping solution, and see if that solves your problem. DVDFab Platinum 4.1.0.2 as well as the free DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.1.0.2 are some other FABulous rippers =). Links are below:

    DVDFab Platinum 4.1.0.2 [$$$ Ware]
"DVDFab Platinum is all-in-one DVD copying/converting/burning software. In just one or two steps, you can copy any DVD to DVDR/PSP/iPod/etc."
    http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=PLATINUM

DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.1.0.2 (Mar 4, 2008) [Freeware]
"DVDFab HD Decrypter is a simple version of DVDFab Platinum. It copies entire DVD movie to hard disk, and removes all the protections (CSS, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs and Sony ARccOS) while copying. It also comes with full HD-DVD and Blu-Ray support (Removes AACS)."

just tried with DVDFab HD Decrypter got same problem at VTS_06_1.VOB

    Task_1 failed! Error=102(VTS_06_1.VOB 82847744 425984)
    Process Failed!

I'm gonna try disc 1 to see if i get the same results. Hopefully that will tell me if it's the disc or something else.

And thanks for the quick replies!

Do give AnyDVD a try before you throw in the towel though.
