Is it possible to burn other things other than videos onto blank dvd discs? I need to format my computer and there are thing I want to save and a couple dvds would hold all of the stuff I need to save.

So is there a way to burn things such as mp3s, photos and programs onto a blank disc? Or is it video-only?

Of course you can!!! DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc (not Digital Video Disc) so it can be used for multiple purposes.

D/l Nero and select the first option in DVD and burn files as if were a normal CD. As a matter of fact treat it as it's like a Cd but with enhanced capacity!

But choose good media and thoroughly test your compilation after burning it.
