I have searched through the forums and guides. And while I have learned alot I still have a couple of questions. I do realize that this is a fairly repetative question but I cannot seem to wrap my head around this. I would like to burn some movie files I have on the comp to DVD - to be played on my player. I have decided to use DVD Flick to encode and burn. Hope this is ok!? 4X speed is best? Here is the movie file info that is pretty much the same on all of them... I bought Sony DVD-R only to come home and find out my drive might be a DVD+R. If it wasn't a 40min drive than this wouldnt be a problem ... I realize that I should probably use +R but since it is a multi drive could I use -R? I am not entirely sure what type of DVD drive I have. "Properties" really dosn't give me any info. But the drive is named DVD-RAM Drive. On the front of the DVD drive it says: Super Multi RW DVD?R DL (The ? is for the fact that I cannot tell if it is a - or +...if I had to pick I would choose +) LG DVD Multi Recorder. I suppose in the end I am just wanting to check that I am doing all the right things and if the Discs I have are all right. Thanks to all that contribute because without you my computer experiance would be pretty boring.
That speed is fine, you could try 8X but no faster. Yes to both so no problems there either. Your DVD burner is also fine. So.......happy burning Cheers.
