I've noticed that while using CloneDVD, the time comes up for how long it will take to process, and it now says @70min where it used to only take about 30min to process. If I place it in another external drive from the one in my laptop, it says @30min. Is my DVD-ROM drive in my laptop going bad? Is that possible?! Would it have anything to do with a firmware update or something along those lines? BTW-its a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. Thanks for any help!
You might want to check to see if the drive has slipped out of DMA mode into the much slower PIO mode. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
