I have this DVD drive in my sosyo pc and I can not remeber what the manufacturer is of it nor do I have any docs. I think it is lite-on. is there a tool out there that I can run to see what type of drive I have so I can update its firmware because I have tried burning DVD movies for backup and it failes. please help
Goto your control panel Double click "System" Click the "Hardware" tab Clcik the "Device Manager" button Click the + next to "DVD/CD-ROM Drives" It should have the drive name their... Or you could open your system up and have a look on the top of the drive itself...
