I have a LG dvd drive who cannot read cd's/dvd's and i've tried updating the firmware, installing Aspi and also Force Aspi but still wont work.Oh Yeah and the last time I got it to work was like a week ago and Since like 2 months The burning process has began to be very slow(ex:movie burn:1hour but now like 5 hours to burn one movie) Please Help! I will appreciate it if it helped!
the drives probably in PIO mode where as it needs to be in DMA mode you can fix that in device manager by uninstalling the IDE controllers reboot and windows will install them correctly, heres a guide also http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
Yes, But I checked but they were in Dma if available mode and also it doesn't say in which IDE port it is connected to. And it also changes the names of my drive like I had only 1 drive but then 3 new drive seem to have been installed and my drive isn't showing up. here's the picture i got from nero.
Is this a recent problem? Did you install any software, update your drivers or do anything of that nature recently when this problem started occuring? What model is your LG drive?
Yeah which GSA model exactly, there's tons. When you look in Device Manager it should say GSA-****, * representing usually numbers or letters.
