At one point in time, my dvd drive would burn cds and dvds perfectly fine but after awhile the cds just stopped. The program roxio won't even recognize the cd unless it's a blank dvd. I tried using a different type of blank cds but problem stilled occurred. Don't know what to do. Someone please help if you can.
The problem is probably Roxio related. It gives members more problems than its worth. Most switch to Nero or RecordNow Max. Nero has a trial download that will give you a good chance to see how it works. If you go with Nero or RecordNow, uninstall Roxio completely first. You could try removing your drive in device manager, reboot and let Windows re-install it. This may help, but the above is a better fix. Jerry
