I have successfully backed-up my movies until I went from 1x to 2x maxell bulk dvd-r media. These disks burn succesful on xcopy and express but on playback the freeze (at different points on each disk) and give me the message "error code 89020003 - the dvd disc might ahve been damaged as to inhibit playback operation - clean the surface of the disc if possible. If it has been scrtched, it might not be readable." Has anyone else had this experience?
I purchased a no name general purpose data disk and got the same result. Perhaps I have a software conflict with recent hardware. I will try to back-step hard drive. Will post results. Thanks for responding.
