I am using DVD Decrypter and Nero, 98% of DVD's play on my PC and home DVD player but some of them are jumpy and start skipping towards the end, any ideas on what i am doing wrong.....please
did that, read every post i possibly could, after more research think it may be dust in the stand alone dvd player, we are restricted in my area to the brand of blank media we can purchase at present, relatively new concept for us, will keep trying though, others are now going fine, thanks for suggestion
Well, check the compatability of your stand alone here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php But trying a different type of media would be one of the first things I'd try. If there's only one type where you are you might have to do some online shopping.
If you're in the UK , then try this online store for blank discs http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/ And I'd suggest using discs that have the Ritek Dye (dark purple bottom)
Thanks guys, have found an on line store in my area, Riteks are around $5 each, new concept, still expensive
I am paying £0.88 each for Ritek G03's [ $1.42 ] It would seem you're getting fairly ripped off , even if they're Riek G04 X4 discs... Try here : http://www.meritline.com/ritekg03dvdr.html
problem is exchange rate, i am in Oz, so not much around us and for exchange rate works out similar prices, dollar not good in our direction at present
Yes , that is a reference for Australia : ) Ok mummybear , i was thinking you were maybe stateside (US) I have actually heard from other aussie users stating that things arent so good in the way of blank media , in fact the person from New Zealand I spoke to on here had hardly any choice at all [d'oh] Sorry to hear that your country hasnt got its act together yet __X_X_X_X_X_[small] I give you all these seed bearing plants & 'erbs to use...[/small]
OK, found a couple of auctions on eBay for Ritek discs. One is US based, and one is in Queensland. US is a little cheaper than local. There are options out there; you just have to look. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2745210856&category=11161 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2745976051&category=44929
You will have to watch whether they are + or - mind you as the Oz Ritek are ** 5 Discs : 4x DVD+R 4.7GB Blank Media Ritek ** (just commenting so no mistakes are made)
This is the Oz e-bay users other items for sale though so Ken has pointed ya in the right direction http://cgi6.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAP...zicrispymnm&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50
I believe ya [thousands wouldn't] lol (I was gonna suggest maybe looking on e-bay earlier on in this thread so great minds DO think alike by the seems of it)
guys you are great, lots of thoughts, but as you say australia is a little behind the times as yet, was thinking of e-bay to check out but US dollar is about $1.75 here, could still work out cheaper though than paying exhorbitant rates here, will check around more, as you say dvd+r are a little more common here at present, but i always check, am normally a good girl
