DVD LABELS

    Just come accross this problem ive been putting labels on my dvds for over a year now and all of sudden there starting to freeze regardless if there on new releases or not,the dvd's im using are verbatim, i took a couple of labels of to see if this is the problem and they worked but can anyone else tell me if the labels do stuff up the playback of your dvd please.

    if they're paper labels, then yes, thay do stuff up the playback of the DVD. It's something about the discs being slightly un-balanced because no matter how hard you try, the labels will never be perfectly aligned. I'd recomend that you take off as many labels as you can, to try and salvage the disc, and in future i recomend that you should get some printable discs and print the labels directly on to the discs with an Epson R2xx or R3xx series printer.

    I totally agree. Stick on labels are nothing but problems. The Epson "R" series printers are outstanding. Especially for printing directly on printable discs. The R220 is less than $100. Worth every penny!

    If you don't want to get a new printer, just use a Sharpie marker to label the discs.
