I'm creating a DVD with Ulead DVD Workshop and it apparently doesn't allow you to select the DVD mode. I need to create a mode 2 disk but it creates mode 1. I can save an ISO file is there any software to convert the ISO to mode 2?
netrunner, I've not come across the term "Mode" in the way you are talking about, could you explain a bit more please. You're not mixing it up with "region codes" are you ? HomerJ
I'm not positive but I believe its the way the DVD media is formatted. I need to make disk for a Panasonic player that apparently only reads mode 2 disks. This is the only information I've been able to find: Sector Size Specification Usage ----------- ------------- ------------------- 2048 bytes/sector DVD Standard, Mode 1 DVD Video/ DVD-ROM/DVD-R 2352 bytes/sector DVD Standard, Mode 2 DVD Video/ DVD-ROM/DVD-R
I solved my immediate problem with the Panasonic player by using the bitsetter program and setting the disc to DVD-ROM. Would Still like to know how to format to mode 2 to if necessary.
netrunner, I've done a quick check, and while Nero seems very happy with Mode1, I could not get it to enable mode2 (it was greyed out) Is this to do with the media used ? Not sure any comments anyone ? HomerJ
