I am using DVD decrypter as the ripper and DVD shrink as the encoder. Follow the wonderful guides provided by this site. When I burn using shrink and nero on re-play the initial menu and extra are fine but the main film will not play. Similar occurs when I burn using DVD decrypter in ISO format. Only way found successful is to rip, then resize with shrink, resave as ISO then manually drag and drop on Nero's DVD-iso copy and verify. What am I doing wrong that i cannot get DVD shrink to do this? Please tell me there must be an easier way
Ooooppps, DVD Shrink cannot burn by itself - I think what Nephilim means is adjust your settings to allow Nero to burn in an "Automatic" mode. Shrink, edit, preferences, File I/O - "tick" Enable burning with Nero box, click, "OK". click "Backup", "Backup DVD", "Select backup target" choose "Burn with Nero". cheers, Pete
Hey guys thanks. I will alter the DVD shrink settings. I use the decrypter to remove the copy-right stuff, just because it takes up valuable disc space wink, wink. I have found shrink doesn't work if DVD decrypter picks up errors on the master disc, although this doesn't seem to bother cloneDVD. Again had problem with clone in burning straight to disc through nero. The way I am going about I seem to loose the menu selection tree in the replication. Thanks again, Luv Lisa
Lisa, I hope you were saving a little of the "luv" to send to old ScubaPete (feeling left out, sob, sob) I think you were doing OK until you did that Drag and Drop thingie. Since you wanted to burn in an ISO image, I should have sent you different directions (Soooo sorry) Here's what you should do, Really - Shrink, edit, preferences, File I/O - "UN-TICK" Enable burning with Nero box, click, "OK". click "Backup", "Backup DVD", "Select backup target" choose "ISO File and burn with DVD Decrypter". CloneDVD is an excellent proggy, all you need is a ripper - Try using AnyDVD (30-day free trial) with your CloneDVD, it's a good combo - Don't know why you're using Nero with CloneDVD as CloneDVD has it's own burner. You mentioned wanting to keep your menus - No problem, use either Nero's recode2 OR use CloneDVD. Both are excellent proggys and allow you to edit all the "Goop" stuff off and yet maintain your working menus - Cheers, Pete
