Hello all newb here and I need of help. 1st off hello to board and thx in advance. I have a dvd player matshita dvd-rom sr-8587 it has been giving me problems on and off for a while now. Sometimes it reads dvd's and somedays it doesnt. Same with cds. It will play an actual cd i own but will not play most of my backup cd's. I also just bought a nec dvd burner in my 2nd bay. So i tried a few of my movies to backup and it was working fine this week. The Nec dvdr is working great its just that the matshita dvd-rom sr-8587 doesnt read anything.
ok a lil more info I just tried to play original cd and dvd in drive and they work fine. When I play a backup of a cd or dvd it doesnt read it.
Dear ceaza, This is a compatibility issue not uncommonly found. You may try: 1) use different media 2) use different burning program/method But if your dvd player is an older model (manufactured before cd and dvd burning became popular), then the problem may not be solved.
